Loan Quality Analyst


The Loan Quality Analyst supports BECU’s Loan Quality Program through the identification, testing and reporting of the effectiveness of controls used to manage risk in the business.   This role will consult and provide guidance on business practices, operational controls, and testing strategies to evaluate trends and assess and articulate relative risks. 


  • Perform all responsibilities in accordance with BECU Competencies, compliance, regulatory and Information Protection requirements.
  • Plan and execute testing program(s) to identify and evaluate process effectiveness, identify gaps and ensure accuracy of loan data.
  • Collect information and prepare detailed reporting of results.
  • Advise management teams of results of reviews.
  • Monitor effectiveness and compare results of test strategies using internal and external data and adjust accordingly to address gaps and improve effectiveness of the quality control programs.
  • Perform additional duties, as assigned.


  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in loan production, underwriting, audit, quality assurance or related environment required.
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work or educational experience required.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of residential real estate loan origination process with emphasis on underwriting and fulfillment required.
  • Familiarity with the design and execution of risk based auditing and/or quality assurance strategies and their application to various loan products.
  • Proficient verbal and written skills required to effectively communicate and provide customer service.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office products including PowerPoint and Excel required.
  • Full time hours required with additional hours as necessary.
