PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $100,900.00-$123,200.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $78,400.00 - $145,800.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Employees and their eligible family members have access to a wide array of employee benefits, such as medical, dental, vision and life insurance coverage.  Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance.  We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees.  Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan.  Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:

As a Systems Analyst (SA) at BECU, you’ll play a critical role in translating business needs into functional system designs that drive the organization forward. By collaborating with leaders and engineering teams, you’ll fine-tune requirements, develop technical specifications, and identify impactful solutions. Your ability to stay current with industry trends will enable you to create application models and technical documents that optimize system performance. In this role, your contributions will directly enhance business processes, reduce technical debt, and ensure that systems meet regulatory compliance while delivering exceptional functionality.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Collaborate and Create Solutions: Work with product owners and business leaders to define and document roadmaps, sprint-level goals, and requirements, translating business needs into viable technical solutions.

  • Refine and Document Requirements: Lead efforts to elicit, document, and communicate user requirements, functional specifications, and system designs, using workshops, use cases, and process models.

  • Support Development Teams: Manage sprint backlogs, refine stories, and support teams throughout the full system development lifecycle, ensuring goals are met.

  • Ensure Data Integrity and Security: Work closely with IT experts to address business, technical, and infrastructure needs, ensuring data security, regulatory compliance, and system integrity.

  • Oversee Testing and Bugs Resolution: Develop and oversee test plans, facilitating the identification and resolution of any bugs or system issues.

  • Manage Application Updates: Lead the installation and configuration of application patches, updates, and enhancements, ensuring smooth deployment across development, testing, and production environments.

  • Support Business Units: Assist in documenting and prioritizing business objectives, providing technical guidance and ensuring alignment with overall business goals.

  • Optimize Operational Processes: Lead efforts to monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and propose necessary changes to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

  • Lead System Documentation: Create and maintain user manuals, technical handouts, and operational guides, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and accessible.

  • Mentor Team Members: Provide mentorship to junior team members, helping them grow their skills in system design, configuration, and technical tool use.

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related discipline, or equivalent work or educational experience.

  • Minimum of five years of experience working with business software applications.

  • Demonstrated understanding of Cloud Computing theory and usage.

  • Strong knowledge of multiple change approaches, including Agile, Lean, TDD, and Waterfall, and understanding of when to apply each.

  • Proven ability to deliver across all phases of the system development lifecycle, including user story creation, test planning, CICD pipeline support, and production implementation.

  • Experience with SQL and relational database concepts, including skills in analyzing, reporting, and validating data at the source (e.g., SQL queries).

  • Experience managing solutions in multiple programming languages and technical environments.

  • Understanding of software engineering vocabulary and data architecture, with experience in Azure DevOps, JIRA, or other Agile tools.

  • Experience troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, especially when supporting end-user testing and training.

  • Experience using tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, or similar for troubleshooting and monitoring.

  • Proven ability to create strong business cases, including financial analysis, strategic alignment, and risk analysis.

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to plan, schedule, and implement projects using BECU and industry project management methodologies.

  • Demonstrated ability to stay informed on industry trends and developments that impact your role and the broader IT industry.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a technical or related discipline.

  • Experience with SaaS and PaaS solutions and related configurations.

  • Knowledge of disaster recovery planning for applications and services.
