Salary Range:
The Target Pay Range for this position is $25.67-$31.30 hourly. The full Pay Range is $21.11-$37.07 hourly. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. As an Indirect Dealer Lending Specialist at BECU, you’ll be at the heart of our auto and RV financing operations—ensuring that every loan is processed with precision, care, and member-first service. You’ll be the trusted bridge between dealerships and our members, helping them navigate the lending process with confidence and clarity. Your expertise in loan documentation, quality control, and compliance will directly shape the financial journeys of our members, while your insights will help refine and elevate our lending practices. Please Note**: This role will require occasional travel to Tukwila Financial Center.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
• Champion Compliance and Protection: Uphold BECU’s standards by ensuring all responsibilities align with our competencies, regulatory requirements, and information protection protocols.
• Master Lending Regulations: Stay informed on federal and state regulations related to Consumer and Indirect Dealer Lending, and understand how various departments collaborate with Indirect Lending.
• Ensure Document Accuracy: Audit incoming loan applications and supporting documents from dealers, input accurate data into our systems, and route materials for underwriting and funding.
• Validate Loan Integrity: Review loan documentation thoroughly to confirm completeness, accuracy, and compliance with lending policies.
• Facilitate Loan Interviews: Conduct engaging interviews with dealers and members to gather all necessary information for loan funding.
• Drive Process Improvements: Share ideas and recommend enhancements to streamline loan processing, underwriting, and disbursement workflows.
• Manage Financial Reporting: Maintain and review accounting reports, reconcile GL accounts, and track service levels with precision.
• Deliver Exceptional Service: Provide prompt, courteous support to members and dealerships, resolving issues with empathy and follow-through.
• Lead Quality Control Calls: Connect with members post-purchase to validate dealership information and gather feedback on their buying experience.
• Document for Audit and Strategy: Record quality control call details to support audits and inform dealership relationship strategies.
• Conduct Background Checks: Verify applicant information, including fraud alerts and credit bureau data, to ensure secure and responsible lending.
• Recommend Credit Exceptions: Collaborate with underwriting and management to suggest credit exceptions that align with policy and member needs.
• Analyze Credit and Collateral: Interpret credit scores, validate income, and confirm that pledged collateral serves the Credit Union’s best interest.
• Validate APR and Buy-Downs: Use tools to confirm APR accuracy, calculate buy-downs, and manage related documentation and payments.
• Contribute to Product Development: Join technical project teams to help shape new Credit Union products and services.
• Support as Needed: Take on additional duties that align with your strengths and support team success.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
• Associate’s degree in business or equivalent work or educational experience.
• Minimum 1 year of data entry experience with a high degree of accuracy.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with loan processing at BECU or another financial institution.
• Full-time availability with flexibility for additional hours as needed.
• Occasional travel.
Desired Qualifications:
• Experience in indirect dealer funding environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks by prioritizing responsibilities and maintaining attention to detail.
• Verbal and written communication skills for effective customer service.
• Math, PC, and organizational skills.
