PAY RANGE
The Target Pay Range for this position is $147,100.00-$179,700.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $114,400.00 - $212,400.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.BENEFITS

Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance. We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan. Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:
At BECU, you'll play a key role in modernizing our credit card platforms and enabling faster, more innovative product delivery for our members. As a Manager of Technology, you'll lead our Credit Card Delivery team and support our highly visible LPP Credit Card Revamp project. Your contributions will directly shape how we serve our members — bringing forward-thinking card products to life more quickly and efficiently.
You’ll work at the intersection of leadership and innovation, guiding a cross-functional team through platform transitions, aligning with product and technology roadmaps, and making smart, independent decisions that move the work forward. To join our dynamic team, we require candidates to be residents of WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, or SC. If you’re located in Washington state and within a reasonable driving distance from Tukwila, we are requesting that you come into our HQ on Tuesdays & Wednesdays. For those candidates that live outside the commute distance of TFC and in any of our approved remote work locations, this role will be remote. Remote or onsite, we are committed to ensuring you are fully engaged and included in our collaborative environment.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Lead Technology Strategy: Guide platform modernization efforts across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments; shape the credit card technology roadmap aligned with business goals.
- Drive Delivery Excellence: Oversee critical projects including the LPP CC Revamp and vendor system transitions; ensure smooth, on-time implementation.
- Coach High-Performing Teams: Mentor engineers, system analysts, and quality assurance staff to grow skills and elevate delivery outcomes.
- Foster Cross-Functional Partnerships: Collaborate with product owners, agile practitioners, architects, and business partners to integrate solutions across BECU.
- Advance Agile Practices: Champion sprint planning, daily standups, and continuous improvement; model agile values throughout delivery.
- Tackle Technical Challenges: Solve day-to-day production issues, streamline operations, and reduce bottlenecks through automation and process improvements.
- Plan for the Future: Build and align the technology roadmap with the broader product strategy; contribute to audit readiness and compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- 1+ year of experience leading technology teams
- 4+ years of IT experience with application design expertise
- Financial product experience (e.g., Credit Card, Mortgage, Auto Loan, Deposits)
- Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methods
- Experience with CI/CD, software engineering best practices, and automation
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, API development, cloud platforms (IaaS and PaaS)
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience building technology platforms and growing technical teams
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts with non-technical audiences
- ERP or Infrastructure/Operations domain experience
- Background in insurance or other regulated industries is a plus
- Demonstrated curiosity, innovation, and passion for modern development practices
