PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $143,400-$175,300 annually. The full Pay Range is $111,300-$207,400 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

SUMMARY

As a Senior Product Architect, you will be responsible for leading the design and architecture of web and mobile platforms for the organization. You will work with a team of architects, developers, and stakeholders to develop and implement solutions that enable the organization to deliver a seamless and intuitive user experience across various channels. You will have a deep understanding of web and mobile platform principles and will be proficient in designing solutions that meet business requirements.  You will work with a tech stack that includes Web and Mobile platforms, REST APIs Management, .net, MuleSoft, Azure, SQL Server, CI/CD, Data Architecture, and automated testing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform all responsibilities in accordance with BECU’s Performance Competencies, compliance, regulatory and Information Protection requirements.
  • Provide technical architectural oversight for the development of business initiatives and that realize BECU’s strategic objectives as a member of digital technology delivery execution teams.
  • Create architectural runways in collaboration with Product Manager and numerous or more complex types of product delivery teams which inform design, timing priority, and investment decisions.
  • Identify, assess, and manage risk associated with the value stream enabling technology.
  • Provide technical leadership for product development teams for the full range of technical needs; from very complex and precise, to executive and more ambiguous.
  • Manage relationships and collaborate with other business functions and stakeholders and value stream beneficiaries.
  • Champion the use of digital technology, reference architectures, standards and practices to inspire a digital mindset at all levels.
  • Participate in key technology governance, planning and initiative review teams, committees and meetings.
  • For the purpose of attaining Credit Union goals, it is the responsibility of each employee to strive for the continuous improvement of processes and quality service.
  • Maintain effective communication with all Credit Union employees (internal customers) to ensure coordination and exchange of information for accomplishing Credit Union goals.
  • Perform additional duties, as assigned.
  • Ensure that the solutions are compatible with CI/CD, data architecture, and automated testing requirements
  • Evaluate new technologies and tools and provide recommendations for their adoption

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work or educational experience required. Advance degree preferred.
  • Minimum seven years of experience in technology architecture, creating conceptual and high-level architecture artifacts as well as logical design artifacts to inform and guide software engineers required.
  • Deep understanding and experience working within Lean/Agile/Scrum methodologies required; scaled agile experience such as SAFe preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in cloud native technology including microservice architecture, Restful APIs, massively scalable designs, digital platforms; experience with implementations of large-scale enterprise initiatives required.
  • Working knowledge of architectural frameworks such as The Open Group, NIST, ISO 19xxx, BizBok, or Gartner required.
  • Proficient in ITSM, ITIL, Risk management and cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Proven excellent leadership, organizational, problem-solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills required.
  • Strong ability to communicate complex technically challenging concepts required.
  • Ability to write and effectively communicate.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, value propositions, and best practices for technology relevant to the in-scope capabilities
  • Full-time hours required, with additional hours as necessary.
