Product Manager - Loyalty Programs


The Product Manager – Loyalty Programs is responsible for the successful development, execution, and analysis of loyalty and engagement programs to support our consumer and business credit card product lines.  This role will manage the day-to-day relationship with our loyalty platform partner, analyze industry trends, evaluate competitive positioning, and utilize data to help create strategies and initiatives to drive loyalty and engagement.


  • Perform all responsibilities in accordance with BECU Competencies, compliance, regulatory and information protection requirements.
  • Evaluate the product plan and launch new credit card products and enhancements to existing products in conjunction with the product strategy manager.
  • Collaborate with Affinity marketing team and other internal departments to develop and implement new affinity, co-brand, and private label relationships.
  • Develop product requirements and participate in developing project timelines and budgets.
  • Research and prepare analysis to be used to evaluate the effectiveness of new and existing products, programs, and projects, including ongoing performance, updates, changes and compliance requirements.
  • Provide ad hoc modeling and financial data, including market sizing, economic analysis, and competitive research to support various projects, product/service recommendations and strategic initiatives.
  • Plan and manage member and staff experience for project / campaigns implemented.
  • Participate in the execution of loyalty related projects, campaigns, and initiatives, and in the development of BECU’s enterprise loyalty program.
  • Maintain an understanding of economic, regulatory, and competitive developments as they affect the credit card and loyalty industries.
  • Effectively manage and maintain loyalty product-related vendor and partner relationships.
  • Participate in the preparation and coordination of the annual credit card and loyalty planning process.
  • Represent the Credit Union, as required, in trade events and informational activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related discipline, or equivalent work or educational experience required. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience required in one or more of the following areas: product development, marketing, product operations, credit cards, or loyalty programs.
  • Minimum three years of project and/or product management experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills to effectively communicate with management, staff, vendors and outside contacts.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Effective leadership and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient verbal and written skills to effectively communicate in the English language.
  • Full-time hours required, with additional hours as necessary.
